I'll stamp all over 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's bout.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and hurt his body. I'm here to prove I'm superior," Joshua, 35 years old, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I intend to seriously aim to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - typically known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and stated he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
